'In Fashion'

The quartet was formed in Spring 2008 and is slowly building up a repertoire of songs for all occasions.  Please use the Contact us  button if you would like to enquire about booking 'In Fashion' for your event.

Janis sings lead and works as a community nurse in Pill, near Bristol.  She is married to Mike and has two children who don't see her very much as she is heavily involved with Bristol Fashion Chorus!  She has taken on the challenge of Lead with 'In Fashion' and thoroughly enjoys singing in quartet, as it increases so much confidence in four part harmony singing, which benefits both singing in quartet and with the Chorus.  Janis is nervously, but with great excitement, anticipating 'In Fashion' s debut at LABBS Convention in October this year.

Kathryn sings bass.  She comes from a musical family and has been singing for as long as she can remember, although she doesn't play an instrument and barely reads music!    Kathryn discovered barbershop when she moved to Bristol in 2003 and sang with the Chorus for six years.  She is looking forward to LABBS Convention when 'In Fashion' hopes to make its debut performance in the quartet competition.

Julie sings tenor.  She has been singing with the Chorus for five years and absolutely loves it.  She jumped at the chance of singing with a quartet as it is something she has wanted to do for a long time.  She loves to show off!  She loves the closeness and the laughter which singing in a quartet brings.  She can't wait to sing with her wonderful friends of 'In Fashion' on the LABBS Convention stage in October.  Julie has two very patient boys who have become very used to listening to barbershop and have even been known to sing along occasionally too.

Deb sings baritone.  She has been singing with the Chorus for two and a half years, so found the Quartet singing really helpful to learn the craft when she was only a newbie.   Deb teaches maths to secondary school students so isn't phased by being on stage and does most of the quartet announcements.  She enjoys singing barbershop and is really pleased that her sister, who also sings, made her join a chorus.

We are all very proud of our in-house quartet who have had their own spot at most of our Singouts and other performances over the past year.  We will be cheering them on at Convention!
